Jamaica is diverse in culture and is geared to facilitate all vacation types, from the adventure seekers, to leisure travelers, from business cooperates, to backpackers, from spring breakers, to celebrity groups and the reserved personalities. The following documentations are required for entry into Jamaica:

America: United States citizens must have a valid passport. No visa is required for a stay of up to six months for touristic purposes.

UK: British nationals must have a valid passport. No visa is required unless passport endorsed British Overseas Territories Citizen.

Canada: Canadian citizens require a passport. Any documents that establish nationality and identity, such as a Certificate of citizenship or an original Birth Certificate with an official photo ID, are also accepted if the reason for travel is tourism. No visa is required.

Australia: Australian citizens require a valid passport, but a visa is not required.

South Africa: South Africans must hold a valid passport. No visa is required for tourist purposes.

New Zealand: New Zealand citizens must have a valid passport. No visa is required.

Ireland: Irish nationals must have a valid passport. No visa is required for a stay of up to 90 days or 30 days, provided the purpose of travel is tourism or business respectively.

Passport/Visa Note: All visitors must hold sufficient funds to cover period of intended stay, as well as an onward or return ticket to country of permanent residence and documents required for next destination. From 23 January 2007 all US citizens travelling to and from Jamaica by air will require a valid passport; by 1 January 2008 the requirement will be extended to include all land and sea border crossings as well.

Note: Passport and visa requirements are liable to change at short notice. Travelers are advised to check their entry requirements with their embassy or consulate.
